He was Seigneur de Conroy, Fakais, Bredan, Ect.Chamberlain to Charles V., Emeror of the Holy Roman Empire.He belonged to the Order of the Golden Fleece. 
His son Gysbert became a protestant at the age of 11 and was disinherited and thrown out of the family.
